No No Fido! Do's and Don'ts for the Holidays

Show Rocky and Adrienne how much you care this holiday season with these Do's and Don'ts:

The Do's:

  1. Humans aren't the only ones that get stressed during the holidays. A change in routine can be disconcerting for your BFF (best furry friend) too! Bring Barney and Betty to Kamp K-9 for Daycare.  You'll be happier knowing your house isn't being ripped apart and Barney and Betty will get all the attention they need.
  2. Going away for the holidays? Talk to us about Boarding at Kamp K-9 for Elmo and Oscar. Come for a tour of our enormous 5' x 8' clear from top to bottom cabins and feeding zones that were specifically designed to help dogs relax in their environment.
  3. Dogs with fur don't mind the cold so much, but dogs with hair might be more comfortable with a  sweater to help keep their bodies warm!

The Don'ts

3 Things You Should Never Give to Donald or Daisy - no matter how big and beautiful those brown eyes are!

  1. Turkey:  Strange foods and diet changes are hazardous to your pets’ digestive system and can lead to vomiting, diarrhea, and a very sick animal.
  2. Chocolate: Chocolate is toxic to dogs. It is one of the most common causes of canine poisoning according to veterinarians.
  3. Alcohol:  It has the same effect on a dog's liver and brain that it has on humans. But it takes far less to do damage. Just a little can cause vomiting, diarrhea, central nervous system depression and more. The smaller the dog, the greater the effect.

Remember your family pet and enjoy the holidays!
